Counselling - Bonnie Zentner
Counselling is for anyone who wants to grow towards their personal goals and strengthen their capacities for coping with life's journey. Most people, deep down, know what they need to do in order to address their difficulties or face the many challenges that life sometimes asks of them. It is often a courageous first step. Bonnie has a B.A. from Ottawa University, a B.Ed. from York University and an M.A. from St. Paul's/Ottawa University. Bonnie has experience working with a wide variety of concerns and works with adults on an individual basis. She is a Certified Counsellor with Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists.

Spiritual Direction - Jacquie Wolgemuth
Spiritual Direction is an opportunity to be accompanied on your journey as you awaken to the spiritual in everyday life.

It helps you to pay attention to the personal communication to you from this mystery we call God, to respond and to grow in intimacy with the Divine.

Direction is not about telling people what to believe or how to act but it is about working with the Spirit to discover, explore, name for yourself, and engage in what God is doing.

The spiritual director helps you to tell your sacred story with an ear for listening for the movement of the holy and to respond to that discovery with love, compassion and trust.

Yoga - Lynn T. Murphy
Lynn obtained her Kripalu Yoga Teacher Certification in 1992 and her Professional Level Kripalu Yoga Teacher Certification in 2000. She has 15 years teaching experience and opened North Bay's first yoga studio. Lynn teaches two classes per week.

Meditation
Christian Meditation in the tradition of Fr. John Main, OSB has been practiced at the Centre for over 17 years. Meditation group meets every Tuesday from 1:30 to 2:30 in the Meditation Room. John Main OSB (1926-1982) believed that the contemplative experience creates community. His genius was to recover and to re-present a way into this experience for ordinary people from within the Christian contemplative tradition. In the teaching of the desert monks on pure prayer he found the practice of the mantra. Realizing that this way of prayer could further the search of many modern people for a deeper spiritual life, he recommended two regular daily periods of meditation to be integrated with the usual practices of Christian life.

Labyrinth
Labyrinths are found in many cultures and spiritual traditions and are being rediscovered worldwide. Based on the circle and the spiral, the labyrinth is an ancient and powerful symbol of wholeness and transformation. Unlike a maze, the labyrinth has only one path leading into and back out of the centre. Labyrinths invite us to quiet the mind, calm the body, and stir the spirit on a journey of presence. By walking the labyrinth, we are rediscovering a long forgotten tradition. The mysterious spiraling path that takes us to the centre can become a mirror for our own lives and a metaphor for the spiritual journey. The path is wide and embraces people of all faiths and age groups.
The Marguerite Centre labyrinth is located at the front of the building in the midst of our beautiful flower beds and large trees. It is a seven circuit labyrinth and the path is on the grass so one can connect with the Earth. Feel free to walk our labyrinth anytime!
